Zhejiang puts into operation the 50th ultra-high voltage substation, ranking second in the number of provincial power grids

At 9:10 a.m. on December 4, the 50th ultra-high voltage substation in Zhejiang was put into operation in Hangzhou. So far, the number and substation capacity of 500 kV substations in Zhejiang have reached a new historical high, second only to Jiangsu Power Grid and ranking second among provincial power grids in China.

According to relevant personnel of State Grid Zhejiang Power, the substation is called 500 kV Xiaowei Substation. As an important part of the Zhejiang Provincial Demonstration Project of "Dajiangdong Power One Map", it is of great significance to optimize the power grid structure of Hangzhou Bay Area, promote the economic development of Hangzhou Bay Metropolitan Economic Circle, and ensure the power supply of 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.

"As a new station put into operation under the background of the construction of 'ubiquitous power Internet of Things', the 500 kV Xiaowei substation is different from traditional substations. It will become an important embodiment of the development strategy of State Grid Corporation of China to build a 'strong smart grid and ubiquitous power Internet of Things'." Zhang Jianhuan, the main person in charge of the commissioning of the 500 kV Xiaowei substation, introduced that the 500 kV Xiaowei substation will be the first in Zhejiang to launch the main and auxiliary equipment monitoring system, realizing one-key sequential control, indoor and outdoor robot intelligent inspection, and real-time control of on-site operations, so as to achieve the purpose of comprehensive state perception, information interconnection and sharing, friendly human-computer interaction, highly intelligent equipment diagnosis, and greatly improved operation and inspection efficiency.

For example, the newly added "one-key sequential control" status return to the background, SF6 online monitoring and other functions will play an important role in switching operations, efficient operation and inspection, and reducing the life cycle cost of equipment.

In addition, for local economic development, the Xiaowei 500 kV transmission and transformation project is the first real main power source for the Hangzhou Bay Industrial Cluster. After being put into operation, the 500 kV Xiaowei transformer, as an important hub substation of the project, will become the main power source for the Hangzhou Dajiangdong Industrial Cluster, the eastern Xiaoshan area, and the Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport area, alleviating the tight power load in the eastern Xiaoshan and Dajiangdong areas.
